Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles under a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm planning to disclose complete information in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount aimed to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not provided a response on the matter.
