Shocking Footage Shows Moment Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Ambush

The Two Sergeants Instants Before the Aggressor Received Electric Shock

One ranking policeman that leaped to the assistance of a fellow officer that got attacked by a blade-wielder has been awarded the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he pressed a knife to the throat of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their colleague, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist following a road collision in Whalley Range in mid-2023.

Brown attacked with blade both Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft incapacitated him with a stun gun.

"Policeman knifed," the constable stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and dashboard camera footage shared by the force revealed Brown, wearing in black with a hood covering head, rush to Sgt Foster from behind with a knife outstretched.

He collided with the officer who stumbled and fell to the pavement, before Sgt Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the pavement even though being multiple times hit with the weapon.

Police Constable Wolstencroft Stunned the Attacker, Jacob Brown, with a Stun Gun

Police Constable Wolstencroft pulled his stun gun and waited for a safe opportunity, ending the fight to an conclusion.

Sgt Ansell can be heard to say: "I need help on my throat here, I've been stabbed in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple lacerations to his neck and additional wounds to his limbs and body, whereas Sergeant Foster suffered cut injuries.

Authorities said Sgt Foster employed his hands to control his fellow officer's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics came.

This most recent recognition comes subsequent to the trio of policemen received departmental Valor Recognitions in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the regional union branch in April 2024.

They were also awarded a Regional Bravery Award in summer 2024.

"The efforts of the entire team ultimately protected one another and meant no members of the public endured any harm."

Brown was sentenced to an psychiatric detention in early 2024, per the department.
