Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A helicopter flying above a crowded California shoreline unexpectedly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Recordings shared online show the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then descending towards the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a steps near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters reported five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
